Dr. Surya Rao is a board-certified cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. He has been with Daytona Heart Group since 2013, serving patients in Port Orange and Edgewater.
Dr. Rao earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. He completed his residency at Loyola University of Chicago and fellowships in cardiology and pacemaker therapy at Lutheran General Hospital.
His expertise includes managing coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and device implantation. Dr. Rao is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the India Medical Association, and has published research on cardiac markers in electrophysiology and ablation procedures.
