Rachel Petrus, FNP-C
Cardiology has been an exciting and deeply rewarding journey for me. My career began as an intensive care unit (ICU) nurse, where I gained valuable insight into critical care that strengthened my passion for cardiology. In 2018, I earned my Master of Science and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (MS, ACNP-AG) degree from Georgetown University.
Each day, I find it an honor to care for our patients and collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals. I take pride in helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment, and in supporting them as they improve their quality of life.
Outside of my work, I devote time to both my family and my service to our country. I have served in the U.S. Navy since 2011 and am passionate about caring for our Veterans. It was a privilege to be deployed to Afghanistan in 2020 during the COVID-19 crisis. That experience deepened my respect and gratitude for their sacrifice and resilience.
When I’m not working or serving, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially outdoors—we love staying active and exploring nature together.
